The Water's EdgeA sequence of ballet music, written for orchestra, consisting of the following pieces: The Surface I, Mary's Song, The Surface II, Kelpie, The Surface III, Selkies, The Surface IV, Siren Song, The Surface V, Beneath The Surface, The Storm. According to Laufi the titles of these pieces were "invented" by the bootlegger.The Water's Edge was written by Ian Anderson, David Palmer and Martin Barre for the Scottish Ballet. It was peformed in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Liverpool and London from March to May 1979, but never properly recorded. It is not certain what happened to the tapes containing these pieces. David Palmer's composition "Siren Song" was later that year reworked and released on the "Stormwatch" album titled "Elegy".
