The TAAB2 Sequel, the new album that Ian Anderson is recording to be released in 2014, has title and release date. The new CD is titled Homo Erraticus, and will be released next April 2014. We know, at last, under what artistic name the new album will be out. As Ian Anderson declared to Brian Rabey in his latest book (A Passion Play: The Story Of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull) "it won´t be a new JT album if Martin Barre is not with us", this is probably the main reason Ian Anderson has decided Homo Erraticus will be out under the Jethro Tull´s Ian Anderson name, as did with TAAB2.
Anderson talks about Homo Erraticus in the official JT web: "Written earlier this year, commencing 09.00 hours on January first, it chronicles the weird imaginings of one Ernest T Parritt, as recaptured by the now middle-aged Gerald Bostock after a trip to Mathew Bunter’s Old Library Bookshop in Linwell village. Bostock and Bunter (sounds like a firm of dodgy solicitors) came across this dusty, unpublished manuscript, written by local amateur historian Ernest T. Parritt, (1873 -1928), and entitled “Homo Britanicus Erraticus”.
The illustrated document summarises key historical elements of early civilisation in Britain and seems to prophesy future scenarios too. Two years before his death, Parritt had a traumatic fall from his horse while out hunting with the Vale Of Clutterbury Hounds and awoke with the overwhelming conviction of having enjoyed past lives as historical characters: a pre-history nomadic neolithic settler, an Iron Age blacksmith, a Saxon invader, a Christian monk, a Seventeenth Century grammar school boy, turnpike innkeeper, one of Brunel’s railroad engineers, and even Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. This befuddled, delusional obsession extends to his prophecy of future events and his fantasy imaginings of lives yet to come…."
Err...it seems Mr. Anderson has been reading too much Dan Brown books lately...
Ok, the new Tour will start in April, and the album (it seems there will be the same musicians as in the TAAB Tours) will be played in its entirety in the first half of the show and after the intermission, they will play a collection of Tull classics.

SUNSHINE.
Following the collaborations Ian Anderson did to many musicians in the past few years, we must add now a new one with Unnur Birna, Icelandic violinist and singer who has collaborated with many international artists in addition to recording their own solo albums.Unnur has joined Anderson as an unpaid guest on a few Icelandic shows in recent years, "so it is a great pleasure (say Anderson) to return the favour and appear on one of her songs at last". This is the song Sunshine, written as an ode to sunlight and happiness after fleeing the dark winter in Iceland. Pop Rock beautifully performed.
